Scope

This standard specifies the main technical requirements for water measurement in irrigation canal systems. This standard defines the terminology used for measuring water in irrigation canal systems. This standard applies to new construction, expansion, reconstruction and continued construction of open channel irrigation projects, and also applies to water measurement in some pipelines.
