A building envelope system can be defined as a
set of components assembled to perform as a unit
that is capable of separating or selectively filtering
the exterior environment from the interior environment.
Each system and components are expected to
have certain performance requirements to satisfy their
function as part of the building envelope. These performance
requirements are diverse and may apply to
all or only some of the components or systems.
