This standard specifies the method of displaying the content of specific chemical substances in electrical and electronic equipment. Note 1 In this standard, electrical and electronic equipment refers to equipment containing specific chemical substances based on the Act on Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources (Act No. 48 of 1991) (hereinafter referred to as the Act on Promotion of Effective Utilization of Resources). Refers to equipment that is required to provide information regarding content. However, this does not prevent this standard from being applied mutatis mutandis to other electrical and electronic equipment.
