JIS Z 8404-2:2008 Measurement uncertainty -- Part 2: Measurement uncertainty for metrological applications -- Repeated measurements and nested experiments
This International Standard establishes the basic procedures for determining and synthesizing uncertainty components, following the approach adopted in GUM. This basic procedure is supplemented with a statistical framework that utilizes analysis of variance to evaluate the individual components, especially the uncertainty components based on statistical methods, which are classified as uncertainty type A evaluations. . For completeness, we have also included a short description of the Type B assessment of uncertainty (non-statistical methods). This International Standard specifies experimental situations in which the components of uncertainty can be estimated from statistical analysis of repeated measurements, measuring equipment, test items, or inspection standards.
