- This standard specifies the general provisions for ship type classification numbers of marine fishing vessels, the composition and structural form of ship type codes. This standard is applicable to the compilation of ship type codes for marine fishing vessels. The ship type codes for inland water fishing vessels may be implemented with reference to this standard.
