This standard specifies requirements and test methods for non-percolating layflat delivery hoses for fire
fighting purposes which serve to convey fire extinguishing media (water, water containing non-compressible
additives) and which, when empty, can be folded or rolled flat.
The standard applies to layflat delivery hoses intended for use at a minimum ambient temperature of -25 ~C
and a working pressure of 1,6 MPa (16 bar) for D 25 to B 75 hoses, or 1,2 MPa (12 bar) for A 102 to F 152
hoses.
NOTE 1 Additional requirements for high pressure hoses are given in clause 7.
NOTE 2 All pressures are gauge pressures and are expressed in megapascals. 1 MPa = 10 bar.
