Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the folding resistance of outsoles. The purpose is to evaluate the resistance of outsole materials and outsole patterns to cut extensions. This standard applies to outsoles with a longitudinal stiffness less than 3ON. The outsole stiffness is measured according to the test method in Chapter 6.
