- Scope
- This part specifies five methods for the determination of sulfur in coal ash, fly ash and slag: Eskar method, barium sulfate mass method, high temperature combustion neutralization method, coulomb titration method, high temperature tube furnace combustion-infrared absorption method. Based on the sulfur content of the total sulfur in the coal and coal ash (ashed in the test chamber), the non-combustible sulfur and combustible sulfur content in the coal can be calculated. This section applies to the determination of sulfur in coal ash, fly ash and slag.
