Scope

This standard specifies the test conditions for determining the heating elasticity of mature plastic pipes using method A (method using a liquid bath) and method B (method using an air oven) specified in JIS K 6814-1. This standard applies to all pipes manufactured from thermoplastic materials specified in clauses 3 and 4. The recommended maximum level of heating elasticity that satisfies the function of each pipe material is shown in Annex A (reference).
