- Scope
- This standard specifies the general principles for the determination of the viscosity of liquid, emulsion or suspension polymers and resins, including polymer dispersions, using a rotational viscometer with standard geometry at a defined shear rate. Viscosity determination according to this standard consists of determining the relationship between shear force and shear rate. The results obtained by using different instruments according to this standard are comparable, and both the test instrument and the shear force can be controlled.
