This standard applies to straight plain-end welded tubes made from non-alloy, alloy and stainless steels
intended for use in tubular heat exchangers, which are predominantly used in process engineering.
This standard does not apply to steel tubes intended for exposure to flame.
Technical delivery conditions shall be as specified in the standards listed in Table 8, with the exception of the
dimensions and tolerances specified in Clause 3 of the present standard.
NOTE The outside diameters, wall thicknesses, and masses per unit length specified here conform to International
Standard ISO 6758:1980.
