Scope
This standard specifies the sulfuric acid phosphoric acid decomposition method and the acid decomposition/potassium disulfate melting method among methods for quantifying the niobium content in iron and steel by ICP emission spectrometry. All of these methods are applicable to the determination of niobium content (mass fraction) of 0.001% to 2.5%.
