Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the optical network physical layer inter-domain interface (IrDI) that can apply WDM technology, mainly including optical transport network (OTN) physical layer interface classification, interface compatibility, definition of optical interface parameters, optical interface parameter values and Light safety considerations, etc. This standard applies to the optical transport network (OTN) physical layer interdomain interface (IrDI) that complies with ITU-T G.709/Y1331, and also applies to the optical transport network (OTN) that complies with ITU-T G.871/Y.1301. ) Incompatible non-optical transport network (non-OTN) physical layer inter-domain interface (IrDI). For non-OTN IrDI, OTN management capabilities are required. This standard applies to intra-office, short-distance and long-distance systems without line optical amplifiers. This standard is applicable when the optical branch signal is a digital signal, but not applicable when the optical branch signal is an analog signal. This standard does not include content related to optical monitoring channels.
