Scope
This section specifies procedures for evaluating the specific absorption rate of handheld wireless communications devices when the transmitting part is used close to the ear. This section applies to any electromagnetic field emitting equipment operating in the frequency range of 300MHz to 3GHz, such as mobile phones, cordless phones, etc. The purpose of this part is to demonstrate how to measure the SAR value of the device under test according to the corresponding safety limits. This part is only a standard about electromagnetic exposure measurement methods, not a standard about safety limits.
