Scope
This specification stipulates the requirements, quality assurance regulations and delivery preparations for 5CrNi3MoV (code 925A) steel forgings for ships. This specification is applicable to forgings with a thickness not greater than 120 mm and steel billets with a diameter or side length of 100 mm to 500 mm for ship pressure hulls. It is also applicable to the same kind of steel forgings or billets for other structures.
