This part of SC/T 7204 specifies the principles, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, operating procedures and result determination of the shrimp Taura syndrome RT-PCR detection method. This section is applicable to the qualitative detection, pathogen screening and disease diagnosis of TSV carriers in various life stages of shrimp, non-prawn organisms and sediment samples. It is not suitable for the estimation of virus load, presence status (contamination, carriage and infection status) or infection activity, as well as the assessment of host infection level.
