Scope

This part specifies the types, uses, forms, main dimensions, technical requirements, marking and packaging of railway vehicle brake shoe samples (hereinafter referred to as samples). This section applies to the design and manufacture of inspection samples and proofreading samples for inspecting brake shoes and shoe backs for railway vehicles.
