BS DD ENV 1090-1:1998 Execution of steel structures - General rules and rules for buildings (together with United Kingdom national application document)
This National Application Document provides
information required to enable ENV 1090-1 : 1996 to
be used for the execution of steel structures for
buildings to be erected in the UK. Its application
does not extend to structures subject to significant
fatigue.
The steels covered in this standard are those
relevant to the design of structures conforming to
DD ENV 1993-1-1 : 1992, using steels of grades S235,
S275 and S355 conforming to the following
standards:
- BS EN 10025 Hot rolled products of non-alloy
structural steels. Technical deliveq conditions;
- BS EN 10113 Hot-rolled products in weldable
fine grain structural steels,
- BS EN 10155 Structural steels with improved
atmospheric corrosion resistance. Technical
delivery conditions;
- BS EN 10210 Hot finished structural hollow
sections of non-amy and fine grain structural
steels;
- BS EN 10219 Cold formed welded structural
hollow sections of non-alloy and fine grain
steels').
NOTE 1. Steels of higher strength grades are covered in
DD ENV 1090-3.
NOTE 2. ENV 1090-1 should not be used for other grades,
including S420 and S460.
