Scope
This part specifies methods for determining the particle size distribution of aluminum powder, magnesium powder and aluminum-magnesium alloy powder by mechanical vibration screening method, wind manual screening method and ethanol screening method. The mechanical vibration screening method is suitable for determining the particle size distribution of granular aluminum powder, magnesium powder and aluminum-magnesium alloy powder that does not contain lubricants and has all or most of the particle sizes greater than 56 μm. The wind manual screening method is suitable for determining the particle size distribution of flaky aluminum powder containing a small amount of lubricant and all or most of the particle size is greater than 56 μm. The ethanol sieving method is suitable for determining the particle size distribution of flaky aluminum powder containing a small amount of lubricant and all or most of the particle size is less than 56 μm.
