- This standard specifies the terms, definitions, and classification of optoelectronic (wavelength/mode) converters (hereinafter referred to as OEO) used for signal relay, wavelength conversion, and transmission fiber conversion in optical fiber transmission systems; specifies the technical requirements and working conditions for optical interfaces and limit conditions; stipulates test methods, product testing, inspection and management. This standard applies to photoelectric (wavelength/mode) converters based on optical-electrical-optical technology. Other photoelectric converters can be used as reference.
