Scope

This standard specifies the classification and naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transportation, packaging and storage of automatic cleaning mesh filters (hereinafter referred to as filters). This standard applies to automatic backwash filters (hereinafter referred to as filters) that use metal mesh filter elements to remove solid impurities from water.
