WARNING—Personnel using this standard should have practical experience in formal laboratory work. This standard does not address all possible safety issues. It is the user's responsibility to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with the conditions stipulated in the relevant national laws and regulations. This standard specifies two methods for evaluating whether rubber or plastic hoses can maintain sufficient flexibility at temperatures below ambient. Method A is applicable to non-collapsible hoses with a nominal inner diameter of 25mm or less (including 25mm). It is a measure of the increase in stiffness compared to flex at standard laboratory temperatures. Method B is a simpler qualitative method suitable for control tests, and is suitable for hoses with a nominal inner diameter below 100mm (including 100mm).
