Scope

This standard specifies the experimental test methods and performance requirements for forestry machinery operator protective structures (OPS). This standard applies to mobile forestry machinery defined in GB/T 19365 that is engaged in logging, deforestation, lumber making, transportation, and lumber gathering. The design of the OPS provides the driver with reasonable protection from puncture injuries such as saplings, branches and broken winch wire ropes during forestry production, but does not include small flying objects such as chains. Teeth etc. The performance standards in the OPS do not provide for comprehensive driver safety protection in all possible environments, but they should minimize the possibility of driver injury under normal operating conditions.
