- This part of JB/T 10696 specifies the definition of mechanical and physical and chemical performance testing of wires and cables, general requirements for testing and periodic calibration requirements for test equipment. This section applies to test methods for the mechanical and physical and chemical properties of rubber or plastic insulated and sheathed wires and cables. According to the relevant wire and cable standards, the test methods specified in the subsequent parts of JB/T 10696 are also applicable to similar performance tests of other wires and cables.
