This standard specifies the quality, testing methods, and labeling of commonly used watercolor paints (hereinafter referred to as paints), which are made by mixing pigments with water-soluble color vehicles (glycerin, gum arabic, glue, etc.). However, watercolor paints for professional use, solid paints, powder paints, and synthetic resin emulsion paints (acrylic paints, etc.) are excluded.
