Scope

This standard specifies the basic display ultrasonic flaw detection using the pulse reflection method for carbon steel and low alloy steel forgings (hereinafter referred to as forged steel products) with a thickness of 20 mm or more and an outer radius of curvature of 50 mm or more. This section specifies the method of ultrasonic flaw detection testing (hereinafter referred to as testing) using instruments.
