This standard specifies the general method for the colorimetric determination of iron with 1,10-phenanthroline. This standard applies to the determination of trace iron in chemical reagents. The detection range of visual colorimetry is 0.04 μg/mL-2 μg/mL (calculated as Fe), and the detection range of spectrophotometric method is 0.08 μg/mL-2 μg/mL (calculated as Fe).
