This standard covers the image quality, file format, recording medium hardware and its utilization system, readability specifications, procedures for media migration, and revisions for digitizing paper documents or microfilm documents and for long-term storage of digitized documents. It stipulates protection, security, disposal, etc. The electronic documentation of this standard shall be created in accordance with JIS Z 6016.
