Scope
The following additional requirements apply to ”gG” fuses for use by unskilled persons for domestic and similar applications with rated currents up to and including 100 A and rated voltages of up to and including 500 V a.c. and 500 V d.c. The following characteristics of the fuses are specified in addition to IEC 60269-1: ??rated voltage; ??rated power dissipation of the fuse-link and rated acceptable power dissipation of a fuseholder; ??time-current characteristic; ??gates, I2t characteristics and conventional times and currents; ??rated breaking capacity; ??marking on the fuse; ??standard conditions for construction; ??tests.
