This British Standard specifies requirements for silicone rubber
material with excellent ozone resistance properties intended for the
production of items such as sheet, mouldings and certain extrusions for
use where high tear strength is of prime importance over a temperature
range of –60 °C to 150 °C1).
For applications in contact with air, the material may be suitable for use
up to 250 °C. However, considerable reduction in tear strength can
occur when these materials are exposed above 150 ºC for other than
short periods of time.
