- This standard stipulates the work requirements for spot inspections of imported and exported mechanical and electrical commodities other than those that must be inspected by commodity inspection agencies (hereinafter referred to as "out-of-catalog mechanical and electrical commodities"). This standard applies to random inspections of imported and exported mechanical and electrical commodities other than those that must be inspected by commodity inspection agencies.
