Scope: This standard specifies the procedures for monitoring energy-related performance parameters in PV systems. The standard also specifies procedures for the exchange and analysis of surveillance data. The purpose of these programs is to evaluate the overall performance of PV systems operating stand-alone or grid-connected, or used as a complement to non-PV energy sources such as conventional generators and wind turbines. Due to the relatively high price of measuring equipment, this standard is not suitable for small stand-alone systems.
