Scope: This standard specifies the test method for primary biodegradability of surfactants. This standard is applicable to the determination of anionic surfactants with sulfonic acid groups and sulfuric acid groups; polyoxyethylene groups with single-chain EO adduct numbers of 3 to 40 and two, three, and four-chain total EO adduct numbers of 6 to 60 surfaces Biodegradation of surfactants; alkyl glycoside surfactants; cationic and zwitterionic surfactants and surfactants with richer foam. This standard is also applicable to the determination of the biodegradability of the above-mentioned surfactants in detergents.
