- This part specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging and storage of reciprocating piston air compressors for locomotives and high-speed trains. This section applies to air-cooled, two-pole air compressors for locomotives and motor vehicles with rated exhaust pressure not exceeding 1000kPa. This section also applies to air compressors for official locomotives, industrial and mining locomotives, and urban rail vehicles.
