The purpose of this test is to measure the relationship between loess deformation and pressure to calculate loess compressibility indicators such as compression deformation coefficient, collapse deformation coefficient, permeable solution deformation coefficient, and self-gravity temperature collapse coefficient. The measurement items are determined by selecting test procedures based on the actual conditions of untreated and pre-water-treated site projects. This procedure uses the single-line method (actual load method) to determine the collapsibility index of loess. The double-line method is also allowed to be used for testing in the preliminary investigation stage or when it is difficult to take multiple samples.
