- This standard applies to selective calling equipment for mobile services. Chapters 2 and 3, for frequency encoding equipment, describe independent audio band measurement methods in order to characterize encoders and decoders for selective calling systems, since encoders and decoders are sometimes manufactured separately from each other, and Independent of the connected transmitting and receiving parts. Chapter 4 is used for simulating the system and presents the overall measurement of the system response time. Regarding the definition and conditions of measurement, reference must be made to SI/Z 9095.1 (IEC Standard 489-1): "General Definition of Measurement and Standard Conditions of Measurement"
