This standard specifies the general principles, content and methods of environmental impact assessment of petrochemical construction projects (hereinafter referred to as construction projects). Petrochemical construction projects refer to construction projects that use oil and petroleum gas (including natural gas and refinery gas) as raw materials to engage in oil refining, chemical industry, chemical fiber and fertilizer production as well as related storage, transportation, scientific research and other construction projects. This standard applies to the environmental impact assessment of petrochemical new construction, reconstruction, expansion and technical transformation projects.
