Scope

Covers safety requirements for cord connected electric heaters rated 12 amperes or less for use under the mattresses of houdehold-type water beds in accordance with ANSI/NFPA 70-1978, National Electrical Code (C1), on either direct- or alternating-current 120-volt supply circuits. Heaters employing external user adjustable temperature control units, integral or detachable, are covered by these requirements
