Scope

GB/T 20898 specifies the requirements for the structure, performance, safety and test methods of immersion suits. This part of GB/T 20898 applies to the requirements for abandon ship suits. See GB/T 20898.1 for the requirements for daily wear suits, and see GB/T 20898.3 for the test methods for life-saving suits.
