This specification covers a premium aircraft-quality corrosion-resistant steel in the form of bars, forgings, and forging stock. These products have been used typically for aircraft landing gear parts requiring tensile strength levels of 255 ksi (1758 MPa) and higher with good fracture toughness and corrosion resistance, but usage is not limited to such applications.
