Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of feed phytase activity by spectrophotometry. This standard applies to phytase products used as feed additives, and also to compound feeds, concentrated feeds and additive premixed feeds added with phytase. The minimum detectable amount of the sample is 90U/kg.
