Scope: This standard specifies the basic electroacoustic parameters and their measurement methods that characterize the high-power transmission performance of underwater acoustic transmitters under actual working conditions. This standard applies to piezoelectric, magnetostrictive and other underwater acoustic emitters, and also applies to underwater acoustic emitter arrays composed of such emitters. The measurement methods in this standard are applicable to the measurement of underwater acoustic transmitters under high power, and also applicable to the measurement or test of underwater acoustic transmitters under non-high power excitation.
