This standard specifies the allowable limit dimensions for the effective diameter and crest diameter (inner diameter of female thread and outer diameter of male thread) of general metric threads (M) specified in JIS 10205-3. Note that the general metric thread specified in JIS B 0205-3 has a standard chevron shape in accordance with JIS R 0205-l. The allowable limit dimensions for the fit categories shown in this standard were derived from the basic dimensional tolerances and tolerances specified in JIS B 0209-1.
