Scope

This standard specifies the dimensional tolerances of various metal and alloy castings produced by casting processes such as sand casting, metal mold casting, low pressure casting, pressure casting, investment casting and shell casting for aviation products. This standard applies to both general tolerances marked uniformly with tolerance grade codes on drawings, and to special tolerances marked directly on drawings.
