Scope

This part of GB/T 20405 specifies a method for the determination of the weight loss on heating of cross-linked polyacrylate (PA) superabsorbent powders with a moisture content between 0% and 5%. This method can be accurate to 0.1%. This section applies to the testing of free-flowing powdered polymer superabsorbent materials at (15-150) °C. Substances that evaporate in this temperature range, such as water, can have an effect.
