Scope: This standard specifies the requirements for rubber examination gloves, sterilized or non-sterile, used to prevent cross-infection between patients and users during medical examination and diagnosis and treatment, and also includes rubber examination gloves used to handle contaminated medical materials. The surface of the glove is smooth or textured. This standard specifies the requirements for the performance and safety of rubber examination gloves, but the safety, proper use and sterilization process of examination gloves and subsequent handling and storage processes are outside the scope of this standard.
