Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, labeling and packaging of diesel engine torsional vibration dampers for internal locomotives. This standard applies to the following types of torsional vibration dampers (hereinafter referred to as dampers) for Nena locomotive diesel engines. Other types of dampers may refer to this standard.
