DIN 18300:2006 PDF

Scope: 1.1 This standard deals with earthworks such as the breaking, loading, removal, placing and compaction of soil and rock. It also covers work under water near the bank or shore and in groundwater if performed in connection with earthworks on land above water level. 1.2 Thid standard also deals with -the processing of soil or rock material for civil engineering purposes, and -earthworks using recycled material, industrial by-products and other materials. 1.3 This standard also covers earthworks carried out in conjunction with underground drainage (cf. DIN 18306), the laying of pressure pipework outside buildings (cf. DIN 18307), and underground cable laying operations (cf. DIN 18322). 1.4 This standard does not cover earthworks associated with drilling operations (cf. DIN 18301), land drainage (cf. DIN 18308), dredging work (cf. DIN 18311), underground construction work (cf. DIN 18312), trenchless pipelaying (cf. DIN 18319), or landscape work (cf. DIN 18320). 1.5 Clauses 1 to 5 of DIN 18299 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
