DIN 18301:2006 PDF

Scope: 1.1 This standard deals with the drilling of holes, irrespective of their heading (orientation), in soil or rock, for the purposes of -site and groundwater investigations, water extraction and discharge, groundwater lowering, drainage, degasification, geothermal exploration; -grouting (including jet grouting), constructing bored or grouted piles, constructing contiguous bored pile walls, including those for supporting and sealing; -installing anchorages and other structural elements, probes and measuring equipment. 1.2 This standard also covers -drilling in contaminated areas; -drilling work for the purposes of maintaining, repairing or decommissioning wells or groundwater gauging stations; -backfilling of boreholes to be abandoned. 1.3 This standard does not deal with borehole sinking operations (cf. DIN 18302) nor with trenchless pipelaying (cf. DIN 18319). 1.4 Clauses 1 to 5 of DIN 18299 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
