Scope

This standard specifies a method for the laboratory measurement of vibrations in the handle of an air-powered die grinder in which the accessory tool is mounted on the collet, in order to determine the vibration values in the handle of the die grinder when fitted with specified test equipment. This is the standard for formal testing. Figure 1 shows a typical die grinder.
